Cookies

This page exists because readers, browsers, and auditors look for it. The whole policy fits in one sentence: bhagol sets no cookies.

A cookie is a small piece of text a site asks your browser to keep and send back with every later request. That returning is what makes cookies useful for recognising you across pages and visits, and it is why the law asks sites to seek consent for any cookie beyond the strictly necessary.

What this site does

No analytics, no advertising, no trackers, no cookie of any kind, first party or third. Nothing here recognises you when you come back. That is also why no consent banner asks you anything: consent is for something, and there is nothing.

Two words do live in your browser's localStorage, which is storage that stays on your device and is sent to nobody:

- bhagol-theme: whether you prefer day or night mode. - bhagol-notice: that you dismissed the note which greets a first visit, so it does not greet every visit.

Neither says anything about you, neither leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes both. The site works the same without them.

Your location

If you press "Show my lagna" on the front page, your location is used once, on your device, and forgotten. It is not written to storage of any kind. The privacy page describes the whole arrangement.

The one honest exception

The site is served by Cloudflare. If its network suspects a connection of being an attack and challenges it, Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie when the check is passed, so that it does not challenge the same browser again. That cookie belongs to the host's security machinery: we do not ask for it, cannot read it, and most readers will never receive one.

Payments happen elsewhere

Buying a guide takes you to Razorpay's checkout, which is Razorpay's site under Razorpay's cookie policy. Nothing in that flow adds a cookie here.

If this ever changes

If bhagol ever sets a cookie, this page will name it, say what it does, and carry the date it arrived, and a consent banner will appear if the law requires one. Until that dated note exists, the one-sentence version above is the whole truth.
